Guana Batz & The Rezurex, Bobby's Montebello Inn 6-26-04

A well-attended show brought to you by Grease Demon at Bobby's in Montebello, CA (Los Angeles). Openers were The Formaldehydes (San Diego), The Tabaltix (San Francisco), and The Flamin' Locos, a great hepped up hot rod trio from Australia (they also played at the Macabre salvage show at the Doll Hut while in town, as well as the Calavera live recording show at Alex's bar the previous evening, of which I believe Ms.Jen took some great photos).

By the time I made my way to the east side of LA the night was nearly over, but just in time to catch the highlights of the evening: The Rezurex (formerly Lobo Negro) - formed in 2002(?) by several scene veterans, they are one of the US's premier new psychobilly acts - and longtime favorites, the Guana Batz, fronted by infamous lady-teaser/pleaser Pip Hancox (see A Hard Man is Good to Find in the Barflies.net Blog).
